I have for sale a very good, 6 inch long, 'brass' replica of 17th/18th century Siege Mortar, which is mounted on an authentic, heavy wooden base having steel sides with carrying handles attached.

On the side of the chassis is seen a cartouche with a "Crown surmounting a Cross which in turn surmounts a Crescent lay on it's side". This badge almost certainly indicates a nation which has fought against and defeated the army of the Ottoman Empire, perhaps Hungary or Venice.

Two ornate Dolphins and a grotesque mask of a man's face decorate the top of the mortar itself. A classic artillery piece which would grace any Study.
