I present a charming and beautiful, British, Old Master, painting, oil on canvas, circa 1820 -1840, entitled "The girl with the Goldfinch". Provenance, originally from a private collection in London. Unsigned, but undoubtedly a great work of art by a very skilled hand. Well framed in it's original wood and Gesso gilt ornate frame (which by itself is worth at least £300). Canvas undamaged, may need a light clean. The canvas bears the stamp of Charles Roberson, 51 Long Acre, London, one of the major suppliers to the best artists (National Gallery). The frame has had two very small areas of minor restoration. Frame measures 29 inches by 25 inches.
